Summer Pre-College Residential Programs at UMass Amherst
Residential pre-college programs at UMass combine all the major elements of college, including great academics, living in a residence hall, and eating in our award-winning dining commons. Of course, it takes a little help to adjust to life on a college campus, so we have live-in program assistants who are specially trained to help you get used to a new environment. We have lots of fun events in the evenings and on weekends that help you connect with other pre-college students.
In this two-week course-based research experience, high school students will join the Department of Microbiology to work on research projects to discover new antibiotics.

The BCT BuildingLab is a two-week immersive pre-college program for high school students interested in exploring building construction, sustainability, engineering, architecture, and technology-related career paths.

The College Application Intensive is a comprehensive in-person week-long intensive dedicated to understanding and preparing for the college application process. A range of key topics will be covered, including an exploration of personal strengths and interests; college majors and career paths; admissions strategy; essay writing; and standardized test prep.

Embark on an enriching artistic journey tailored for high school students aspiring to deepen their understanding of drawing, design principles, and portfolio preparation. This course unfolds as a comprehensive exploration, offering a holistic grasp of artistic techniques.
