Email:

Maddi Hertz is a Lecturer in the Data Analytics and Computational Social Science program (DACSS), where she teaches Research Methods in Social Science (POLISCI 328), which is a Flex course. She is the instructor for both the campus and UWW sections, and students in either section are free to participate through whichever modality they choose: in-person, live online, or asynchronous. As an IIF fellow, she will present the DACSS and her own approach to Flex teaching, which is designed to accommodate students who have numerous obligations outside of the university. She strategically uses technology to create a seamless flex-learning environment in which remote attendees are present in the classroom, effectively sitting right beside their campus peers.
