Jonah started as the Student Services Manager for the UWW Department of Interdisciplinary Studies in January of 2019. In this position, he works to make the university as navigable and accessible as possible to UWW Interdisciplinary Studies students, by providing student support and maintaining the program’s student resources infrastructure. Before that, he worked part-time since July of 2017 as a UWW Departmental Assistant while pursuing his bachelor’s degree through UMass Amherst. He grew up on a farm in the rural Berkshire County town of Monterey.
Both of Jonah’s parents got degrees when he was growing up, and his own college journey involved three schools and seven years of classes, with most semesters completed part-time. This life experience motivates him to work to help other non-traditional students finish their bachelor’s degrees through the UWW Interdisciplinary Studies program, especially students who may need help getting the services they deserve from departments around the university.
