Public Invited to April 26 Social Justice Residency Keynote
Dr. Jallicia Jolly, Amherst College Assistant Professor of American Studies and Black Studies, will deliver the keynote presentation for the 2024 UWW Social Justice Residency on Friday, April 26 at the UMass Amherst Center at Springfield, and the public is invited to attend. Dr. Jolly's keynote is titled "Justice in Practice: Black Women's Activism and Pathways to Social Transformation."
This free community event will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and registration is required by Monday, April 22. The UMass Amherst Center at Springfield is located at 1500 Main Street in downtown Springfield. Funding for the event has been provided by the Chancellor's Community, Democracy, and Dialogue (CDD) working group.
Dr. Jolly describes herself as "a public scholar, equity practitioner, and reproductive justice organizer with investments in research-informed social action." To read about her work, please visit her faculty page or her website.
