Meet UWW's 2022 Student Commencement Speakers
We are proud to introduce the 2022 University Without Walls Interdisciplinary Studies student speakers. They will deliver their addresses during the UWW Senior Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. in Tillis Hall at the Bromery Center for the Arts on the campus of UMass Amherst.
Kevin Hill is an award-winning director, choreographer, dancer, and actor born and raised in Massachusetts who currently serves as Producing Artistic Director for North Shore Musical Theatre in Beverly, MA and Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck, RI. As a Professor of Dance, he has served on the faculty of Pennsylvania State, Kansas State, and most recently, the Boston Conservatory of Music. Inspired by a life-changing reading assigned in UWW Reflections on Health, he recently founded A Safe Space Assisted Living (LLC) to serve the LGBTQIA2S+ community. At 54 years old, this First Generation college graduate is celebrating earning his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies Summa Cum Laude with a concentration in Arts Studies and Management. Joining him to celebrate are his husband Matthew, parents Mary Ellen and Roy, mother-in-law Lisa, and niece Brigid, who was recently accepted to UMass Amherst.
Lindsey St. Amour is a Sales Representative for Mondelez International, overseeing $3 million in sales of Nabisco products to supermarkets and big box stores. From Fall River, MA, this 41-year-old single mother and First Generation college graduate is celebrating earning her bachelor’s degree with honors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Environmental Sustainability in Business. She looks forward to continuing her career with her current company, taking her seven-year-old daughter on a well-deserved vacation, and working towards buying a house. She will be joined by her sisters Melissa and Victoria, her friend Crystal, and her daughter Fiona. Her dad will proudly be joining the event virtually from his home in Fall River.
