Clarifying Public Health Guidance for Local UWW Students

Feb 12, 2021

You may have recently received a communication containing public health guidance for employed students while the campus is in high-risk status. We recognize that many UWW students living within and outside the Amherst area* are employed in positions that require on-site work and travel. We are also aware that many UWW students have dependents, and that these family responsibilities may require travel such as school pick-up and drop-off.

UWW students living in the Amherst area are directed to self-sequester and refrain from travel whenever possible, adhere to masking and social distancing guidelines when traveling and at work, and comply with required testing protocol.

It is fully understood that UWW students may continue reporting to their on-site jobs and engage in essential travel without violating the spirit of the public health mandate or our interim pandemic policy.
