Special Topics- LEAN Management

SCH-MGMT 697LM

Lean is a totally different approach to management that leads to extraordinary levels of performance. Organizations that apply lean thinking can become up to five times more productive than competitors which don't. Yet globally, most managers and leaders have little understanding of lean, what it can do for them, and how to overcome to the many challenges they will face when implementing it. Lean is designed to surface problems - in large numbers, of all sizes, and at all levels - prioritize them, and solve them well and quickly. There is a lot to learn to be able to build and lead an organization where employees are problem-solving and generating and implementing ideas that further the organization's strategic goals, on a daily basis, and as a matter of the organization's culture and the way it operates.
