Amherst presents: Virtual Lighting of the Merry Maple - December 4

The tradition continues in Amherst! The annual lighting of the Merry Maple will once again brighten up our downtown with a Livestream of Santa arriving to flick the switch. In an effort to keep us all healthy and safe, our program is going virtual!
The evening will kick-off with a welcome from the Chamber and BID and offer songs, dance, and the UMass Minuteman Marching Band will lead us in a rousing rendition of Santa Claus is Coming To Town. After the lighting, we hope you will stay tuned in for a wonderful hour of entertainment including a performance by Amherst Ballet, a reading of The Broken Ornament by The Spiderwick Chronicles Author Tony DiTerlizzi, and some surprise appearances.
