About Us
UVC-TV is one of twelve Student Government Association funded student agencies on campus. UVC-TV was founded in 1976 as the Student Video Project and was modeled on the newly emerging public access TV movement which provided access to equipment and training to communities across the country. Today we are still a source of training, access and production for the UMass undergraduate community. Students can become members and learn to use pro-grade cameras and editing software to create their own original programming which we share on our various outlets, including our YouTube channel and website. We also work closely with other agencies, student groups, and campus partners to provide event coverage - such as rail jam, UMass Got Talent, Cultural Nights, concerts, and any events for and by students and weekly live streaming of SGA meetings. We are happy to be in our new home in the Student Union room 200 and are excited to continue our work on campus. Click here to learn more about the SGA funded agencies.
