The University of Massachusetts Amherst

Springfield-UMass Partnership

The University of Massachusetts Amherst has a long history of involvement with the city of Springfield and the greater Springfield region. The Springfield-UMass Amherst Partnership leads the comprehensive strategy to leverage opportunities for sustained and productive collaborations between the university, the city, and the communities in the Pioneer Valley. With offices at the UMass Center at Springfield, the partnership is the portal for community and campus organizations and individuals to connect and realize the potential of their engagements.

The Springfield-UMass Amherst Partnership works to support productive and sustainable collaborations between communities and faculty, staff, and students. The partnership enables mutually beneficial relationships between the campus and communities in the greater Springfield region in the areas of health, fine arts and the creative economy, natural sciences, engineering, green industries, management, sports, education, and economic development.
