Credits
For degree students, the maximum credit amounts for classes through University+ vary depending on the term as follows:
- Fall/Spring: 18 credits
- Winter: 8 credits*
- Summer:
- Undergraduates: 16 credits total, up to 8 credits for each session
- Graduates: 9 credits total
*Graduate-level students in Isenberg programs can only take 6 credits in the winter.
For non-degree students, the maximum credit amounts for classes through University+ vary depending on term as follows:
- Fall/Spring:
- Undergraduates: 18 credits**
- Graduates: 16 credits
- Winter: 8 credits
- Summer:
- Undergraduates: 16 credits total (8 credits total within each session)
- Graduates: 9 credits total
**During Fall/Spring, non-degree undergraduate students can take a maximum of 12 credits through the University session (primarily on-campus/in-person courses). This limit is strictly enforced and cannot be overridden.
Non-Degree students who wish to take additional credits should complete the Non-Degree Credit Overload Petition Form.
Note: If you are a non-degree, undergraduate-level student and wish to study full time (12 credits or more per term) on a regular basis, you should apply for admission to a degree-granting program.
