Jason Amaral
Graphic Designer
In the 10 years that Jason has been on the University Relations' creative team in the MarCom Group, he has worked on a wide array of design projects and pieces for many different clients. Before joining the team, he worked several design jobs, mostly in retail production, including the design branding of apparel, pattern creations for textile, and catalog photography and design for a frame manufacturing company. Jason also has designed and screen-printed hundreds of music posters and apparel for a variety of bands he played in and those of friends he’s known and supported.
Jason has a BA in printmaking and design, with a minor in film studies, from Roger Williams University, where he began his studies as an architecture major. He has always strongly supported education, including higher ed, and is enthusiastically instrumental in helping UMass thrive now and into the future.
Interests
When not designing, Jason can be found enjoying time with his daughter, cooking different cuisine, tabletop gaming, playing bass, delving into sampling for beatmaking, and gardening.
Fun Fact
I've played in many bands for almost two and a half decades, including a few that toured parts of the U.S. and Canada.
