Chris Dunn is the associate vice chancellor for government relations at UMass Amherst. He oversees state and federal government relations for the campus and is responsible for communicating to elected officials the value that UMass Amherst provides to the people of Massachusetts as the commonwealth’s flagship public university. He works closely with faculty, students, and administrators to develop and advance UMass Amherst’s broad government affairs agenda. He also oversees the UMass Amherst Center at Springfield.

Prior to joining UMass, Chris served as an aide to the Massachusetts State Senate in both the office of the Clerk of the Senate and the Counsel to the Senate. He holds BA and JD degrees from Suffolk University in Boston. 

Chris was born and raised on the North Shore of Boston and currently resides in Salem with his wife and three children.
