On 5/1/2021 at approximately 10:35pm, the UMass Amherst Police Department received a third-party report of a person being chased and/or assaulted. Related to this incident, two students have reported being robbed of money by an unknown person. This incident began in the Worcester Commons parking lot and resulted in person(s) running in the direction of the Campus Center Garage.
UMPD is seeking to identify a person possibly involved in the incident, described as a male, dark complexion, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, red-and-white sneakers, and carrying a bag. That individual ran westbound from behind Worcester Commons at approximately 10:30pm, followed by two individuals described as #1 - male, light complexion, long sleeve black shirt, dark shorts, black sneakers and #2 - male, light complexion, wearing a red jersey with the #97, white hat, dark pants.
