On Friday, April 12, 2019, at approximately 10:40 PM, the Amherst Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in which a pedestrian was fatally injured. The accident occurred in the area of the crosswalk at 1001 North Pleasant Street (Crestview Apartments). Anyone who was in the area and may have information, specifically, anyone traveling on the PVTA Bus routes, is asked to call Amherst Police Detective Joshua Harris at 413-259-3010. The incident remains under investigation. Thank you.
