The primary purpose of Valley Light Opera is to prepare and present theatrical productions, generally light opera and musical comedy, on a non-profit basis. The organization was incorporated in 1975 and has operated continuously since then. VLO is volunteer run; longstanding volunteers serve as producers and heads of costume and set crews, with the rest of the crews taken from the cast and members of the community.
