Downtown Amherst Foundation - Relief and Resiliency Microgrant Program

The Downtown Amherst Foundation’s Relief and Resiliency Small Business Microgrant program intends to offer microgrants to small, local businesses and individual contractors to meet their short-term financial needs. The grant can cover employee wages and benefits (including fringe benefits associated with employment, such as health insurance), accounts payable, fixed costs, inventory, rent, and utilities. This application is ONLY for Amherst, Massachusetts small businesses, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals who operate a brick and mortar business.

Workshop 13

Workshop13 is a non-profit cultural arts and learning center in Ware. We offer classes and workshops in fine arts and crafting, photography, ceramic arts, and personal growth. Scholarships for children with financial need are offered through referrals from local school teachers and caseworkers. We also host monthly open mic nights, concerts, and we offer a great venue for private events. Workshop 13 includes the ArtWorks Gallery and ClayWorks, a pottery studio, which are revitalizing downtown Ware.

Develops affordable housing in addition to providing first-time homebuyer assistance including pre- and post-purchase counseling and technical assistance to start-up or existing small businesses.

Helps poor families worldwide become self-sufficient by providing food- and income-producing animals and training in animal management, environmentally-sound farming and community development.
