Talk: When Does a Start-Up Make Sense? What Do You Need to Know?

Big inventions can serve as the foundations for successful start-up companies, but not all can. Some small inventions and even non-patentable technologies can also lead to such success! This session will provide guidance on how to start thinking about products, markets, customers and profits, and how to find additional information that can help you decide about starting a company.

Speaker: Bob MacWright, Director of the UMass Technology Transfer Office
