About the program: Intellectual property (patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets) is foundational to research-driven and technology-based new ventures. The UMass Amherst Technology Transfer Office helps faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows protect inventions and other intellectual property created in the course of their research. Join us for a friendly lunchtime discussion to ask questions about how the technology transfer process works at UMass Amherst and to learn more about intellectual property in general. Make an appointment to discuss whether something you are working on could be the basis of a patent or copyright filing, the status of ongoing efforts, or to explore ideas for creating IP based on your research and know-how.
