The mission of Metamorphoses is to offer a venue for literary translation from all over the world, from an ever wider range of time periods, languages, cultures, and genres. Metamorphoses was founded in 1992 by Laszlo Tikos. The journal was then housed for over two decades at Smith College with Thalia Pandiri serving as editor-in-chief.
