Alison Kerr '17 dances into creative opportunities

Recent UMass Amherst Theater graduate Alison Kerr '17 made the most of her opportunities here, forming creative partnerships and finding mentors and backers among the faculty and alumni who gave her the chance to produce her own work and travel abroad to study.

Among the attendees of the Berkshire Leadership Summit this October were two alumni of UMass Theater’s graduate program, Brianna Sloane '14G and Elizabeth Pangburn '15G. Collaborators in their artistic lives as the co-founders of the Pioneer Valley’s TheatreTruck, which performs devised work in found spaces, they found the summit both motivating and validating of their work as activists and artists.
