Emily Leue

Emily first started working in technical theater several decades ago, and has since explored many parts of the industry. Her regional theater experience includes working at The American Repertory Theater under artistic directors Robert Woodruff and Diane Paulus, and The Yale Repertory Theatre under artistic directors Stan Wojewodski, Jr and James Bundy. Additionally, she worked at The Des Moines Metro Opera and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, among other theaters, and she served as an Automation Shop Technician at Showmotion, Inc, and a Production Coordinator for the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. Most recently before coming to UMASS she was the Technical Director for the Northampton Academy of Music. She is excited to now have the opportunity to share her experience with the next generation of theater professionals at UMASS.

Outside of theater, she enjoys gardening, preserving foods, raising poultry, and other homesteading activities in the house she built with her spouse and shares with two teenagers, overseen by an excessively excitable English Shepherd named Aoife.
