Carl Bridge

Carl is the Department of Theater Director of Scenic Art. He assists in scenic fabrication, prop-making and the paint finishes of scenery, and serves as a mentor to scenic students, designers, and technicians.

Prior to joining the UMass Theater Department, Carl was a member of the Visual Art and Technical Theater department at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter school. 

After Studying Scenic Design at Boston University, Carl has worked as a scenic painter, prop maker, sculptor, special FX artist, and puppeteer. He has worked for various theaters and shops in Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Portland, and is thrilled to be sharing his diverse skill-set with our department.
