I'm a PI, Now What? How to Lead Research Collaborations

This is a workshop for faculty that provides tools for planning, practicing, and maintaining effective research collaborations as a PI. How does a Lead PI balance equity and efficiency? What are common pitfalls in collaboration and how can lines of communication remain open and aligned with the mission of the project? What formal procedures and informal processes can ensure an effective ongoing research collaborations across Departments, Colleges, and Universities? Join us for an interactive workshop discussing ways to ensure your next collaborative project is one that is a great experience as well as productive. A light breakfast will be provided.

Workshop facilitators: Laurel Smith-Doerr (Director of ADVANCE Research Collaboration, ISSR, and Professor of Sociology), Martina Nieswandt (Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Engagement), and Michael Krezmien (Associate Dean for Research and Engagement College of Education)
