This session provides faculty who are currently teaching a GenEd course with a DU/DG designation with a midterm check-in opportunity to share and discuss challenges and successes related to engaging their students with the new GenEd Diversity Learning Outcomes. Join TEFD Director of Programming for Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity Kirsten Helmer and members of the General Education Council for this interactive cross-disciplinary session.
At this session we will
- Examine and discuss challenges and successes of engaging students with the new GenEd Diversity Learning Outcomes.
- Identify and discuss teaching practices, learning experiences, and assessments that align with the new GenEd Diversity Learning Outcomes.
- Generate ideas for designing or modifying learning experiences and assessments so that they align with the new GenEd Diversity Learning Outcomes.
Who should attend? All instructors who are currently teaching a General Education course with a DU/DG designation.
