I recently completed my undergraduate degree at Hampshire College with a concentration in environmental and wildlife science. My thesis explored the usage of bird feathers as bioindicators of environmental contamination using mass spectrometry in the Cape Cod area. I love the environment and everything that comes with it- wildlife, sunshine, hiking, swimming, and most of all, the beautiful, encouraging feeling of curiosity that it bestows. I like to think of the environment as the canvas to humankind’s epic masterpiece. To put it simply (with a cheesy metaphor) there’s really no way to paint without it, and that’s sort of where sustainability and environmental quality interests me.
