UMass Amherst is looking for ways to reduce the amount of paper used across campus. 

Campus Recreation Paperless Initiative

In 2013, the Campus Recreation Paperless project, supported by the Sustainability, Innovation & Engagement Fund, converted the Campus Recreation Intramural Sports program’s paper records (over 4,000 sheets of paper annually) into digital files. 

Sustainable Paper Purchasing

In 2015, UMass Amherst Print Services phased out all non-recycled “virgin” white letter-sized copy paper and replaced it with 30% recycled white letter-sized copy paper for all orders, at no additional charge to departments.
