Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Since 2014, UMass Amherst has been working aggressively to install EV charging stations across the campus for students, faculty, staff, and any campus visitor.  In 2014, UMass Amherst became the first location in Massachusetts to install a public level 3 (fast charger) charging station, which charges a vehicle up to 80% in 30 minutes. Since then, the university has continued to install electric vehicle charging stations across campus to encourage the use of electric vehicles and reduction of vehicle emissions. Visit the UMass Transportation's electric vehicle webpage for more information on charging stations and where to find charging stations on campus.
