Equine Management

Are horses in your blood?

As an equine management student, you’ll gain first-hand experience in managing an equine operation at the Hadley Farm Equine Center. From horsemanship and veterinary care to equipment and stable management, you’ll experience it all. You’ll gain an understanding of the education and training you’ll need in order to get your dream job in the equine industry.

Each day, you’ll work with our herd of horses both on the ground and under saddle, applying what you’ve learned through hands-on practice. You’ll explore topics including horse health and behavior, equine business basics, developing the equine athlete, pasture management, and equipment operation. You’ll also get an opportunity to assist with mares and foals at the Equine Reproductive Services facility. You’ll visit local stables and hear guest lectures from experts in the equine field. And you’ll be given an opportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills you’ve gained at our capstone event.
