Danielle Barone serves as the Director of Student Success Academic Programs at UMass Amherst and has worked at the university since 2011. Danielle’s work focuses on creating and sustaining high impact learning and academic experiences for students at UMass Amherst, with specific attention on new students. Throughout her career, Danielle has been passionate about and worked diligently to support marginalized students on campus through immersive experiences, including: living-learning programs, faculty development work, and dialogic courses for student leaders. Additionally, Danielle serves as Faculty for ACPA’s Institute on the Curricular Approach: a method for intentionally sequencing collegiate learning experiences for students outside the classroom. Danielle earned her B.S. in Business Administration and her M.Ed. from Springfield College. Outside of UMass Amherst, Danielle can be found skiing, dancing, cooking, and laughing loudly with her three children and family.
