  Meditation

Positivity and Relaxation Meditations
9 a.m. – 9 p.m. | via Zoom

Pre-register for meditations throughout the day taught by certified BHI instructors: Seated Mindful Yoga (9 a.m., 30-45 mins); Seated Meditation (10 a.m., 30 mins); Introduction to Meditation (11:30 a.m., 60 mins); Walk in the Meadow Meditation (8 p.m., 20 mins); Evening Wind Down Meditation (9 p.m., 15 mins)

  Tie Dye

Tie Dye Party
11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Metawampe Lawn

Sign up with friends for a 30 minute appointment to make your own wearable creations. White t-shirts will be provided but you may also bring 1-2 natural fiber items to dye. Limit one appointment/two items per person. (Note: a pair of socks counts as one item.)

  Paws Program

11 – 12:30 p.m. and 7 – 8 p.m. | via Zoom

Enjoy a virtual visit with the Bright Spot Therapy Dogs! Register in advance for either the morning or evening session, and get to know the canine “Paw-nelists” who will attend these events

  Hillel Wellness

Virtual Wellness Fair
1 – 2 p.m. | via Gather

Try out different wellness practices, connect with health-related campus groups and offices, and perhaps win a prize. Event is sponsored by UMass Hillel's Resource Center and takes place virtually, on Gather. Pre-register here.

  Qigong

Qigong/Tai Chi in the Garden
1 – 3:30 p.m. | Durfee Lawn

Learn simple Qigong exercises that you can practice anywhere. With regular practice, Qigong and Tai Chi can support sleep, strengthen your immune system, and improve overall well-being. Pre-register on IM Leagues for a 30-minute session: 1 to 1:30, 2 to 2:30 or 3 to 3:30. Classes will take place on Zoom if it rains.

“Happy to Chat” Spots
Throughout spring semester | Benches around campus

Visit campus benches with Chat Spot signs, and use the conversation prompts to strike up interesting conversations. Meet new people or learn something new about old friends.

  Labyrinth

Labyrinth Walking

Used in many cultures and religions for thousands of years, labyrinths are tools for personal, psychological, and spiritual transformation. Take a mindful walk through our beautifully created COVID-safe labyrinth and experience the journey for yourself.

  Minuteman

DIY Reusable T-shirt Bags
1:30 – 3 p.m. | Minuteman Statue

Make your own snazzy reusable bag from an old t-shirt (great for to-go meals or shopping trips!) in this free session with the Res Life sustainability coordinator. We will have t-shirts to choose from or bring your own. Look for the registration tent near the Minuteman statue and sign up for one of three 30 minute sessions.

Reflections by the Pond: a Drop-in Mindfulness Experience

  Paint Event

Bob Ross Paint Along
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. | via Zoom

Escape the busy day and create some happy little trees with the chillest guy we know – Bob Ross. Pre-register to receive a mini-painting kit and 5x7" canvas (or doodle along with markers, crayons or any medium you choose). Join us on Zoom or paint at your own pace.

Baseball Double Feature: Angels in the Outfield and 42
On-demand for 24 hours

Log on with your NetID to stream movies on demand: Angels in the Outfield (about a boy who requests divine intervention to reunite his family and help the California Angels win the pennant) and 42 (about baseball legend Jackie Robinson who broke the MLB color barrier).   Take it In Stride

Take it in Stride, U GOT THIS!
4 – 5 p.m. | Minuteman Statue

Enjoy fresh air and conversation on a one-hour walk around campus with UMPD, Campus Recreation, CCPH, and Off Campus Student Center staff, plus Vice Chancellor Brandi Hephner LaBanc and other special guests. Walk all or part of the route, and join us again April 17 (1 p.m. at Central) and April 22 (noon at Student Union).

  Sunset Yoga

Unwind from the day and acclimate your body and soul to the setting sun. Class begins with an energetic vinyasa and ends in a gentle flow, coordinating breath with movement to leave you feeling calm, focused, and relaxed. Pre-register on IM Leagues.

Self-Guided Tours: Valley Bike

Explore the area by electric-assist bike. Through April, a one-year student pass (good for unlimited 45-minute rides) is just $30. Sign up on ValleyBike using your .edu email address, then download the app, find a nearby pickup station, choose a route, and enjoy the ride!
