Student Affairs and Campus Life Connection

fall move in

Dear Students,

On behalf of the UMass Amherst community, welcome to all new and returning students – we're glad you'll be with us soon! The first few weeks of the semester are packed with new experiences, new people and new opportunities. Getting involved is one of the best ways to start creating connections, and there are so many ways to do so. Start at the World's Largest New England Clambake and Welcome Back Green BBQ on Sept. 1; then come back to the Hagis Mall the next day for the Activities Expo Fall 2014, with more than 250 registered student organizations to explore. Don’t miss your chance to hear activist, educator and acclaimed actress Laverne Cox in a live campus appearance Sept. 11. Her talk, "Beyond Orange is the New Black," is one of many events connected to this year's Common Read – bring along your copy for a chance to have it signed!

Best wishes,
The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Campus Life
