REDI and LOTA Award Descriptions

2024 REDI Awards

All 2023-23 nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024. Nominations received after this deadline will be considered for next year. Awards will be presented at State of SACL Thursday, May 9, 2024.

 

Courageous Leadership Award This award recognizes a person who models and creates a culture of courageous leadership by empowering others and being present and consistently engaged despite challenging circumstances.

DEI Innovation Award This award highlights ways in which people engage in innovative diversity, equity, and inclusion work that invites vision and healing. This award represents a workgroup or individual who initiated new ways to bring inclusive practices, education, and awareness to SACL programs and services and/or our campus community.

Devoted Service Award This award recognizes an individual whose daily efforts exemplify hard work, dedication, and a positive contribution to Student Affairs and Campus Life.

Go Team Award This award highlights people collaborating to create innovative solutions that solve day to day problems and make work life better. This award recognizes a workgroup or individual who initiated ways of humanizing and improving services or who developed/implemented ideas that made a significant positive difference to systems and processes.

Student Engagement and Wellbeing Award This award acknowledges a person who has made important contributions that holistically developed students toward becoming responsible leaders. Responsible leadership includes qualities such as building positive community, making ethical decisions, participating in collective problem solving, bridging difference toward active inclusion, and fostering the well-being of other students.

 

 

 

2024 Graduate Assistant Leaders of Tomorrow Awards

Who is eligible for a Graduate Assistant LOTA Award?

Any Graduate Assistant employed by SACL during the 2022-2023 academic year who has completed their mandatory orientation and training requirements is eligible for this award. Undergraduates are not eligible for the LOTA awards. SACL staff should be nominated separately for the Staff REDI Awards. Graduate Assistant awards are

 

DEI Innovation GA Award This award highlights a graduate assistant who engages in innovative diversity, equity, and inclusion work that invites vision and healing. This award particularly recognizes innovation and creativity in bringing inclusive practices, education, and awareness to SACL programs and services and/or our campus community.

Scholarly Excellence Award This award recognizes a graduate assistant who demonstrates a mastery in blending their assistantship responsibilities with their chosen academic discipline. Candidates exemplify this advanced competency through interdisciplinary research opportunities, assessment projects, training and development initiatives in service of SACL. This award also highlights students who have presented at conferences or published works related to their role.

Go Team GA Award This award highlights people collaborating to create innovative solutions that solve day to day problems and make work life better. This award recognizes a workgroup or individual engaged in building positive campus partnerships or who developed/implemented ideas that made a significant positive difference to systems and processes.
