April McNally, M.P.H.

Health Promotion Specialist


April has been at UMass since 2001.  She worked with UMass Extension’s Nutrition Education Program before joining the Center for Health Promotion in 2005.


She is passionate about wellness and prevention.  Her work includes directing the peer health education internship program, teaching Koru mindfulness classes, overseeing the Paws Program, and incorporating various elements of positive psychology into her work. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master of public health degree in community health education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
