Digital Signage Submission Instructions
Poster and Video Specifications:
- Dimensions: Create posters with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Images will be scaled and cropped to fit these dimensions.
- File Size: Ensure files are less than 50 MB.
- Allowed File Types: Acceptable formats include PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, and MP4.
Video Posters:
- Length: Videos should not exceed 10 seconds.
- Resolution: Videos must be created at 1920x1080 pixels to ensure optimal display quality.
Submission Process:
To submit your digital posters and videos, please provide the following details:
- Name of the RSO
- Start and End Date of Display

Digital Signage Policies
- Content Restrictions: Messages may not include personal or political statements, links, commercial activities, solicitation, or advertisements from non-university organizations. Copyrighted material without appropriate permissions is prohibited.
- Compliance: All content must adhere to the University of Massachusetts Amherst Acceptable Use Policy and brand guidelines.
- Approval Process: Content requires prior approval from SEL before posting and should be submitted well in advance of the event.
- Post-Event: All files will be removed following the event and will not be saved or archived.
- Usage: The Axis TV digital signage system is a communication tool managed by Student Engagement & Leadership (SEL), supporting content from Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs), and Educational Student Organizations (ESOs).
- Management: SEL coordinates messaging with technical support from Administration and Finance Information Technology (A&F IT) and Student Affairs Technology Services (SATS). Disability Services also provide consultation to ensure accessibility.
Gallery Instructions
Our gallery feature is implemented using Google Slides. Please create your photos in Google Slides following these dimensions and requirements:
- Dimensions: Widescreen (16:9), 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels
- Requirements: Ensure high resolution for clear display.
Once your slides are ready, share the Google Slides file link with us so we can directly copy and paste it into our sheet.
