New Hall
New Hall houses 132 students in a combination of single and shared rooms. There are shared bathrooms, ample lounge space, kitchens, and a laundry room in the hall.

Housing for UMass Students Participating in Boston Internship

Students interested in attending internships in the Boston area can live in New Hall at Mount Ida. Interested students can apply using the Housing Interest Form.

Students who are accepted will be given more information for how to select their assignment using SPIRE under Online Room Selection.

Please only select this space if you are sure you want to live on campus. UMass Amherst students who select a space using this process will release their previous assignment, which will be available to other students seeking assignment. Also, student who select an assignment and later cancel are subject to the Cancelation Fee Schedule.

New Hall is a Break Housing Hall that remains open during Thanksgiving, Wintersession, and Spring Break. If students need housing for less than a full semester period of time the weekly rate can be used.
