Local LGBTQ-Supportive Religious Groups

About the List

Groups are listed if they allow LGBTQ people to participate in all religious activities; serve in all leadership positions for which they are otherwise qualified; embrace same-sex couples and, where possible, perform same-sex marriages; interpret their religious texts in ways that are not hurtful to LGBTQ people; and do not treat LGBTQ people as spiritually incomplete by virtue of their sexuality or gender identity (i.e., LGBTQ people do not need to reject their sexuality or gender identity to get to any afterlife).
