The Stockbridge School of Agriculture Sustainable Food and Farming major provides opportunities for students to gain experience growing gardens and working in partnership with several community groups. Here are some examples:
1. GardenShare is a student run garden just off campus
2. The UMass Renaiassance Garden is an example of a 16th century garden including vegetables and herbs
3. The Amherst School Garden Project is an effort by Stockbridge students to support local schools
4. The Food for All Project is a new garden that provides fresh and local food for people in need
5. The Amherst Sharing Garden is a new project supported by Stockbridge to allow Amherst residents to garden together
