Using a new microspectroscopic technique, Stockbridge scientists collaborating with Nanjing University in China have found that steam disinfection of baby bottles exposes babies to nanoplastic particles.

Plant Pathology Professor Dr Elsa Petit has been awarded funding to present her research, on variations in disease resistance in American hybrid grapes, at the 2022 International Symposium on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics.

Dr. Om Parkash Dhankher will be recognized as an ASA Fellow, the highest status bestowed by the American Society of Agronomy.

Injecting the historic UMass tree with fungicide brought our highly supportive alumni to campus from Sunderland Tree Care and ArborJet to teach a hands-on lesson in tree injection technique to the Commercial Arboriculture class.

Dr. Baoshan Xing, and his former students and visiting scholars, have won a 2020 Best Environmental Science Article Award from prestigious journal Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T).
