A TEAM OF 11 UMASS STUDENTS TRAVELED TO NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY TO COMPETE IN THE 2022 NATIONAL COLLEGIATE LANDSCAPE COMPETITION (NCLC).
Hosted by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, the annual 3-day event brings together top students in landscaping and horticulture, along with top industry companies and dozens of the biggest industry manufacturers and suppliers. Top stewards of the field serve as judges for more than 30 skills-based and knowledge-based competitive events.
OUR UMASS NCLC TEAM OF 11 STUDENTS PLACED IN THE TOP THIRD OF 43 COMPETING COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY TEAMS.
The team was coached by Michael Davidsohn and Kristina Bezanson, (coordinators for our Stockbridge Landscape Contracting, and Arboriculture associate degree programs, respectively).
OUR YEARLY SUCCESSES AT THE NCLC DEMONSTRATE THE BENEFITS OF OUR HANDS-ON APPROACH TO EDUCATION. OUR STUDENTS LEARN BY DOING... AND THEY WIN BY DOING.
We thank the champions of our alumni community for the funding that enables Stockbridge students to prove themselves against national competitors.
