Applicants wishing to apply to Stockbridge School of Agriculture can apply by either of two dates.
November 5, 2023 is our Early Action Application Deadline
High school students who feel certain that they want to attend Stockbridge School of Agriculture, and who have a compelling application package without the addition of GPA and achievements from their Fall semester senior year, are encouraged to apply by the Early Action deadline in early November. One advantage of applying "Early Action" is that you will hear by mid-January whether you are accepted. Another advantage is that all of our new student slots are still available. Unlike the "early decision" options provided by other universities, the "early action" application to UMass Amherst is non-binding, so if accepted you will have all the way until May 1, 2024 to decide whether to enroll. About half of our new students will be accepted from the Early Action pool.
January 15, 2024 is our Regular Decision Application Deadline
If you feel that your application package will be stronger by including your Fall senior semester grades, optional test scores, and achievements, then we encourage you to apply by the Regular Decision deadline of January 15, 2024.
