What's Turfgrass Science?

Turfgrass science is the foundation for the turfgrass management industry, focused on the construction and maintenance of urban greenspaces, including golf courses, stadiums, school and professional sports fields, university campuses, parks, and home lawns.

Stockbridge is using applied science to bring sustainability to sports.  As climate change accelerates, turfgrass managers ensure that the health of grasses contributes to the overall health and well-being of humans and their habitats.  Our graduates work as superintendents and grounds managers, as crew leaders, irrigation technicians, turf product suppliers, and lawncare specialists.
