In the UMass Amherst School of Public Policy's Undergraduate Certificate in Public Policy and Administration program, you’ll build a strong foundation for a career in government, nonprofits, or the private sector. Our students also go on to law school or graduate studies in public policy, education, public health, business, and other fields.
SPP faculty have a diverse range of expertise, including social justice, sustainable development, and technology in governance. You’ll take required courses in politics, economics, and statistics. Five elective classes, chosen from departments across the UMass campus, allow you to develop a specialty in areas including environmental, health, and social policy.
