Kaego NDIweka MPP ’23 knew she wanted to pursue health equity during her undergraduate education at UMass Amherst. When planning for graduate school, NDIweka originally considered International Relations, a natural next step to her undergraduate degree in Political Science. However, her lived experience ultimately led her to Health Policy and SPP's 4+1 Masters program.
This year saw multiple critical bills pass legislation including the Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS, the Science Act, the Respect for Marriage Act, expanded benefits for veterans, and the first gun violence bill in years. Many of these difference-making bills would not have received the bipartisan support needed to pass without lobbyists.
