The UMass Amherst School of Public Policy prepares students to become leaders in public service with a curriculum that combines theory with professional skills development and practical experience.
When you support the School of Public Policy during UMassGives, on April 29 and 30, you create opportunities for students inside and outside the classroom. Your gift might be used to:
• support students in unpaid internships.
• provide grants to allow students to travel to professional and academic conferences, to present their research and make professional connections .
• support the School of Public Policy’s annual trip to Washington, DC, where students visit government agencies and nonprofit organizations; connect with legislators, SPP alumni, and other policy professionals; and learn about career possibilities.
• compete in the annual NASPAA-Batten Student Simulation Competition, an international competition in which students test their skills solving a policy crisis, using real-world data.
Your gift of any amount will make a real difference. And if you give during the School of Public Policy’s Power Hour — Tuesday, April 29, from 8 to 9 p.m. — you could help us win an additional $2,000, to be awarded to the campus unit with the most individual donations.
UMassGives kicks off on Monday, April 29. Please help open doors for students by giving to the UMass Amherst School of Public Policy.
