A Conversation with Congressman Jim McGovern

The UMass Amherst School of Public Policy will kick off the 2021-22 academic year with a conversation with U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts's 2nd congressional district.

"A Conversation with Congressman Jim McGovern" will be open to the public.

McGovern was first elected to Congress in 1996. The chair of the House Rules Committee, he is also a senior member of the House Committee on Agriculture’s Subcommittee on Nutrition and Oversight, chair of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, and the Democratic cochair of the bipartisan Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission.

Note: Under UMass Amherst policy, individuals who are not yet fully vaccinated will be required to wear face coverings at this event and in any other indoor setting on campus. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask or physically distance on campus. The venue’s capacity limit will be strictly enforced. Individuals who are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms should stay home.
