Annual Washington, DC, Networking Trip

Each year, UMass Amherst School of Public Policy graduate students visit Washington, DC, as part of the Professional Development Seminar, or "Prosem."

An integral part of the SPP curriculum, the ProSem helps students sharpen their job-seeking and networking abilities, including writing cover letters and resumes, public speaking, interviewing, and networking. On the trip to Washington, students meet with alumni and other policy professionals working in government and the nonprofit and private sectors and learn about the wide range of professional opportunities available.
