The UMass Amherst School of Public Policy offers several graduate programs for full- and part-time students. The GRE is not required to apply.

  • Master of Public Affairs (MPA): A one-year program of online and in-person classes that allows you to move quickly and affordably toward pursuing your professional goals. One of the most affordable master’s degrees in public policy in the region.
  • Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA): A two-year program that provides a strong analytical foundation that can be applied to a wide variety of policy fields.
  • Dual Degrees: MPPA students can opt to pursue a dual degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Higher Education, or Regional Planning.
  • Graduate Certificates: We offer graduate certificates that complement an MPPA with feminist studies or Latin American studies
