Dean Aelion to serve on HHS subcommittee

Dean Marjorie Aelion joins the Stakeholder Engagement Subcommittee of the Secretary’s Advisory Committee, a federal advisory committee composed of national subject matter experts providing recommendations for developing and implementing the Healthy People 2030 initiative. Learn more

Researchers analyze risk factors for problem gamblers

The Social and Economic Impacts of Gambling in Massachusetts (SEIGMA) research team recently presented a deeper analysis of survey data on gambling and problem gambling to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Learn more

Qian develops statistical methods to study Alzheimer’s disease risk factors

Assistant Professor of Biostatistics Jing Qian has received a two-year, $448,800 NIH exploratory grant to investigate new statistical methods for use in regression analysis to explore risk factors in Alzheimer’s disease. Learn more

Carbone named Nutrition and Dietetics Fellow

Elena Carbone, Associate Professor of Nutrition, has been named a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The designation recognizes Academy members who have distinguished themselves by their service to the dietetics profession and by optimizing the nation's health through food and nutrition. Learn more

Community Health Education alumna Elizabeth Chennamchetty, MPH '04, is the author of a recently published memoir titled Bangles, Bindis and Babies: Becoming a Family, which recounts how she met her future partner – and MPH ’03 alumnus – Vijay Chennamchetty and their journey from "improbable romance" to multicultural marriage.
