Environmental Health Sciences assistant professor Alexander Suvorov recently held a guest spot on UMass Radio’s Lab Talk with Laura where he spoke about how an important discovery on Easter Island relates to our bodies’ long term response to flame retardants. Lab Talk with Laura is a weekly STEM talk show on WMUA Amherst featuring interviews with scientists at UMass about their research. It airs on Tuesday afternoons. Suvorov’s research involves the study of the mechanisms and sequences of long lasting tissue reprogramming, tracing the cause of diseases that develop later in life to the early stages of a person’s fetal development.
